Decommissioning & P&A of 8 offshore Wells

We executed a full Plug & Abandonment (P&A) and decommissioning campaign covering 8 offshore wells—comprising 3 oil producers, 3 gas producers, and 2 injection wells—located in shallow water depths of 48–61 m with well depths of 2,260–2,445 m
Scope of Work
Our integrated offshore solution included:
Installation of mechanical and cement barriers
Placement of intermediate and environmental cement plugs
Retrieval of horizontal/vertical trees and upper completion tubing
Wellhead cutting and recovery from seabed
Transport of all recovered equipment to shore
Full engineering, project management, offshore spread, vendors, cutting tools, and logistics support
Execution Phases
Phase I – Diving Survey
Performed a seabed and infrastructure survey to eliminate diving requirements during the P&A execution phase
Phase II – Plug & Abandonment
Plugging, severing, and disposal of Xmas trees and wellheads, utilizing BOP, wireline/E-line, cementing, cutting, positioning, and tree tooling services
Duration
6 months + extension, influenced by weather delays, vendor timing, unknown well integrity conditions, and leaking gas-lift mandrels that required additional diagnostics and interventions
Critical Project Considerations
Well integrity uncertainties
Seabed and soil conditions
Existing field infrastructure
Regulatory compliance
Environmental protection and marine impact mitigation
